Henderson County GOP Convention Details

Our County convention will be held Saturday, March 23 at Prescott Auto, 37 Maxwell Dr., Hendersonville. Doors open at 10:30. Preregistration has begun and will end at noon, March 22. Please go now to our webpage www.hcgopnc.org/ and follow the link from the home page. Voter ID, such as your driver’s license, will be required to check in or register. To participate you must be a resident of Henderson County and registered as a Republican as of January 31, 2024, otherwise you may observe as a guest.

Please pre-register online. It will help our convention run more smoothly. Walk-in registration will also be available.

 

Both check in and registration will end PROMPTLY at noon before the start of the Precinct Meeting so that the credentialing process may be conducted in an orderly manner. Please Note: IF YOU HAVE NOT CHECKED IN OR REGISTERED BY NOON YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR TO PARTICIPATE

 

We must be strict about closing off registration so that the precinct meetings can begin on time and the Credentialing Team can complete their work. Thank you for your cooperation on this.

 

A food truck will be available for anyone wishing to purchase food. Water and coffee will be available inside the convention at no cost.

  • 10:30 - Doors open, check in (pre-registered) and registration begins

  • 12:00 - Check in and registration END! - You CANNOT attend the meetings if not registered and checked in by noon.

    • Plan of Organization revision

    • Resolution 1: Primary Election Partipation: Only registered Republicans shall be permitted to cast a vote during the Republican Party primary elections for partisan offices. Non-partisan primary elections shall be open to all registered voters.

    • Resolution 2: Duration of Early Voting: Early voting for all publicly elected offices shall consist of a maximum of one week of early voting (Monday through Saturday) immediately prior to Election Day.

    • Resolution 3: State Republican Party Elections Method: All elections of State Republican Party officers shall be conducted via paper ballots.

  • 4:00 - Convention adjourns
